Israeli foreign minister to visit Budapest soon

„At the request of my friend Eli Cohen, my Israeli foreign minister colleague, we had a telephone conversation today to review the security situation in the Middle East,” Péter Szijjártó wrote.

I assured my Israeli counterpart that Hungary remains committed to supporting international organizations taking a fair and balanced approach toward Israel.

We reject the Brussels approach that equates terrorist acts against Israel with Israeli actions to guarantee the security of the Israeli people.

We support and urge the extension of the Abraham Accords because, based on the experience of the past decades, this is the first initiative capable of bringing peace to the Middle East. Economic cooperation between the two countries is in the interest of both countries, and we will take further steps to develop it.

We also finally agreed that Eli Cohen will visit Budapest soon.
