Bakondi: Hungarians can also have their say on migration in the national consultation

There is an important political debate on migration in the European Union, so it is important that the Hungarian people also express their views on this in the national consultation, said the Prime Minister’s Chief Homeland Security Adviser on M1’s Sunday evening TV program.

György Bakondi added that there is no change in the European Union’s migration policy, and they see that „the Brussels bureaucracy and Soros-network of NGOs” are doing everything possible to increase the number of migrants arriving in the EU and distribute them as quickly as possible between the member states.

He added that there are important political debates between EU member states, the Brussels bureaucracy and the Soros network on migration, so it is important that Hungarians also express their views on migration in the national consultation, for example, on the government’s position, which has been consistent since 2015, and on its proposal to not allow any illegal or legal immigration for two years due to the epidemic risk.

György Bakondi also spoke about the “intense border violations” this year: While 45,500 border violators were apprehended for all of 2020, as of July 1 of this year, there have already been 46,300. Furthermore, last year, 167 human traffickers were caught, while for 2021 so far, 420 have been detained, he noted.
